These plants lose the aerial part during the coldest months of the year. As spring begins, stems and leaves quickly start to reproduce. The Fleabane should be grown in a bright place, with direct sunlight. The Fleabane should be grown outdoors; it can bear very harsh temperatures without any problems, even many degrees below zero.
Fertilization Fleabane
We suggest adding to the irrigation water, in the spring, every 20-25 days, a specific fertilizer for flowering plants. We can also mix to the soil near the plants a granular slow release fertilizer, which has a 3-4 month action.
Generalities Fleabane
These plants give origin to a brush with a rounded form. The Fleabane is a perennial herb plant. The Fleabane is small in size and 60 cm in height; in the summer it assumes a purple colouring. These plants aren't evergreens, which means they lose their leaves some months during the year.
Watering Fleabane
Water rarely, about once every 1-2 weeks with 2-3 glasses of water , keeping the soil dry for a few days before watering again; when wetting we suggest avoiding surpluses, however to wet the soil deep down. Perennial plants are subject to some months of vegetational rest. During these months it isn't necessary to water them.
Treatments Fleabane
Generally during this time of year we suggest a pre-emptive treatment with wide range insecticide and with a systemic fungicide, to prevent the attack from part of the aphids and the development of fungus diseases, often favoured by a mild and damp climate.
Soil Fleabane
We suggest a substratum characterized by an excellent drainage.
