These plants are cultivated in small vases, therefore we suggest placing the containers in a place sheltered from the sun during the hottest weeks of the summer. Plant which need at least a few hours a day of solar light.During this time of year we shouldn't worry about minimum temperatures, in fact the the Pistacia can bear temperatures a few degrees below zero.

Bonsai are grown in very small containers, that's why it’s good to add small doses of fertilizer frequently, so that the plants always have the right dose of nutrients. In the spring let’s use specific fertilizers, rich in nitrogen and potassium, every 20-25 days.
Generalities Pistacia
The Pistacia grows erect, developing a short stem with a small crown, usually roundish. These plants are shrubs. This plant in the summer assumes a green colouring; it is medium in size and can reach 90 cm high. It doesn't keep its leaves in the winter.
Watering Pistacia
Let’s avoid watering the the Pistacia excessively, always leaving the soil dry for a few days between one watering and the other, therefore let’s irrigate the substratum deeply every 10-11 days with 2-3 glasses of water . These plants are located in vases; to avoid them from enduring long periods of drought we suggest to check the moisture of the substratum in the vase periodically.
