I like the article
The Ilang-ilang develops like a tree. The Ilang-ilang develops growing in height, and develops a bare stem, creating a thick crown. This plant in the winter assumes a yellowgreen colouring; it is large in size and can reach 12 m high. It keeps its leaves in the winter.
Light Ilang-ilang
Plant which need at least a few hours a day of solar light. During this time of year the the Ilang-ilang can be grown outdoors.Seeing that the foliage of the aromatic plants is used for alimentary needs, we advise paying attention to the use of insecticides and anticryptogamics: let’s use only those for agriculture and let’s follow very strictly the lacking period written on the label before harvesting these plants.
Water Ilang-ilang
We suggest watering these plants with 2-3 glasses of water only when the soil is perfectly dry, generally it needs to be watered about every 2-3 weeks . Let's avoid to exceed. A great part of the aromatic plants are used fresh; during the spring and in the summer it is possible to harvest a good quantity of them, to conserve dehydrated or frozen, to use them during the cold months.
Pests Ilang-ilang
The spring weather, with a high temperature swing between the day and night hours, and pretty frequent rains, can favour the development of fungus diseases, which should be treated pre-emptively with a systemic fungicide, to use before the gems grow excessively; at the end of the winter we also suggest a wide range insecticide to prevent the attack of aphids and cochineals. We should always remember to do these treatments when there aren't flowerings in the garden.
Mold Ilang-ilang
We recommend cultivating these aromatic plants in a soft and light, very well drained, soil.
